RUN away, or absented himself from the subscriber, about the time Mr. Poaug's Wenches attempted to go on board the English ships off our bar last month, a Negroe Fellow named JEMMY, about 28 years of age, near 6 feet high, speaks good English, by trade a ship-carpenter, a good seaman and coasting pilot, well known amongst the coasters and ship-builders of this town; he formerly belonged to Capt. Addison in the Winyaw trade, and since to Capt. Charles Morgan; he commonly wore a check shirt, old red jacket, tanny trowsers, and a round black hat; perhaps he may endeavour to go to Augusteen, or attempt going off the State with some outward-bound vessels. I do forewarn all persons from employing him in any shape at their peril. A reward of TWENTY POUNDS currency will be paid on delivering him to the Warden of the Work-house, or to JONATHAN SCOTT.
N.B. This Jemmy was lately taken by a John Bennet, patroon of a schooner in the southward trade, to bring rice from Ashepoo; if he should be harboured or employed since that by a white person, on conviction, I will pay ONE HUNDRED POUNDS currency.
