CHANCERY SALE OF 17 VALUABLE SLAVES:
J. O. Shackelford
vs
R. Baxter Et als.
In pursuance of an order made in this cause at the October term, 1856, of the Chancery Court at Clarksville, I will sell to the highest bidder at the Court House in Clarksville, on the 12th day of January 1857, it being the 1st day of the Circuit Court, 17 likely and valuable slaves, the same mentioned in the decree, consisting of a No. 1 Blacksmith, 3 waggoners, 1 furnace keeper, balance ore bank hands. A No. 1 cook and washer, 2 good house servants and a likely plow boy, &c.
Terms of sale—a credit until the 1st day of October next, notes with two good securities required.
