DAVID, 50 years old - a carpenter
BILLY, 38 years old - field hand
JOE, 40 years old - field hand
DRUMMOND, 50 years old - field hand
JEMIMA, 33 years old - cook; two children, LEVI, 9 years old, ISABEL, 12 years old
LUCY, 32 years old - seamstress and cook
CHLOE, 40 years old, and her child, 5 months old
MARY, 23 years old - housekeeper and cook
MISSOURI, 11 years old - nurse
